Exception desk review

Warehouse aisles with pallet racking and overhead lights

A two-day sit-in with your dispatch and yard clerks to map how missed windows, hot loads, and over-short-damage notes actually move from radio to the board.

Who it is for

Dispatch supervisors and operations managers who already run a yard or a small fleet and need a clearer exception desk, not a new department.

What you leave with

A written exception board: which events need a live call, which can wait for the next shift note, and who owns the clock on detention and missed appointments.

Scope

One primary yard or dispatch room, one week of historical exception notes, and live observation across two consecutive working days.

Included

Not included

Who does the work

A Bundlelogicgrid reviewer who has sat exception desks for regional dry van and mixed LTL yards; the same person writes the board and runs the briefing.

How the review runs

  1. Intake by phone using the listed contact details: yard size, lanes, and what “exception” currently means on your board
  2. Document packet: redacted route sheets, appointment logs, and OS&D notes for one recent week
  3. Two on-site days timed to a busy gate window, not a quiet Sunday
  4. Written board delivered within five working days of the last sit-in

Time

Two consecutive working days on site, plus five working days to write the board.

Where

At your yard or dispatch room. Correspondence address is listed on Contact; reviews are scheduled where the freight actually turns.

What to prepare

Name one host on the floor. Pull a week of notes. Tell drivers and clerks a reviewer will sit quietly at the desk and ask questions between calls.

Limits

We do not interrupt live hot-load decisions. Hazardous materials desks and bonded lots require your existing access rules. Reviews pause during active incidents.

How the fee is set

Quoted per yard after the intake call. Typical range is shown on Rates. Travel beyond the agreed radius is billed separately at cost. See Rates for typical ranges.
